About CDI

Consultants Development Institute (CDI) is unique in that it:

  • Provides very practical and accessible, self-paced online courses
  • That can be accessed from anywhere at any time
  • With experienced faculty
  • To provide learners the foundational, core knowledge and materials
  • To build skills in any role – whether advising, facilitating, training or coaching – in for-profit, nonprofit or government organizations

In each course, you can use assessments to measure your learning before and after you complete the course. You get instructions through a concise, online video packed with practical, step-by-step instructions. You can pause and resume the video at any time. The video guides you to use step-by-step tools that you can immediately download to use and share with others.

You also access a portal with 1000s of online, free, supplemental resources related to your role. You use your private Learning Journal to document your ongoing learning and development. If you paid to enroll in any of the Certificate-Series of courses, then faculty share feedback to each Learning Journal you submit to your assigned faculty. CDI’s online Learning Management System keeps track of your activities and guides you through your learning step-by-step in CDI.

CDI was founded in 2013 by Carter McNamara, MBA, PhD, a principal consultant in CDI, and founding partner of Authenticity Consulting, LLC. Like CDI’s other principal consultants, he has successfully been training consultants since the 1990s.
